The Brightside Music & Events Venue just celebrated being open for ONE YEAR!
In our first official year of business we have been blown away by the response to the space. We have hosted baby showers, birthdays, business launch parties, and spoken word events. We have hosted a variety of weddings, from industrial chic, to rock 'n roll, to cultural. We have watched new couples share their vows and start their lives together, and then throw killer parties to celebrate. We have hosted intimate music shows in our bar, and locally and nationally renown bands in our ballroom. We have even hosted theater productions, and pro-wrestling!
On Wednesday, October 23rd, we invited our friends, family, fellow vendors and community to celebrate The Brightside, and it was INCREDIBLE.
DJ icicle got the party started in the Brightside Bar with his unique beats and handmade mixing board.
Incredible food was served to our guests from some of our most requested catering partners, Amber Rose, Brock Masterson's and Rich Taste. We love allowing our guests to select the catering they want to have at their event, and having such a wide variety each week!

We also took this opportunity to announce an exciting thing happening in our space in early 2020...The Dayton Battle of the Bands!! We get tons of inquiries for bands we’ve never heard of wanting to perform at The Brightside. It’s tough to be a new band, because you need an opportunity to perform. So this is that opportunity! We are partnering with Sound Valley to open our doors to 20 new bands in our first ever Dayton Battle of the Bands! Apply to perform a 20 minute set in our listening room, the favorite band will perform on our huge stage during the Sound Valley Music Festival. Promotional package included! This is an exciting opportunity for emerging talent, and our way to support the next generation of the Dayton music scene. We can wait to see what you have to show us. More details to come!
Friends, family and friendors were invited to sign our chalkboard wall birthday card, and we could not feel more loved as we enter into our second year of business! Thank you to each and every one of you who came out and enjoyed a show, supported us behind the scenes, gave your talents or cheered us on!
